Set in 1940 in war-torn Sheffield, a brother and sister set out to solve the mysteries of the air raid-signals.Meanwhile in Dachau , Germany two boys come up with a bold plan to bring an end to the war and help a Polish prisoner escape. As the reality of war strikes the children's adventures become quite terrifying as they fight to stay alive. Every chapter is a history lesson with the author paying great attention to detail leaving the children feeling that they are experiencing the war first hand."
